The Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer has established itself as an important means by which the women of Manhasset, Long Island unite in the fight against breast cancer. MWCABC began in 1997 from the efforts of a small group of women in Manhasset that shared a concern about the high incidence of breast cancer on Long Island. These women set about creating an organization dedicated to raising money for breast cancer research, education and support programs. In 1998, MWCABC was incorporated and recognized by the IRS as a not-for-profit corporation. Over the past 10 years, MWCABC has grown dramatically. Our all-volunteer membership includes almost 200 members and our signature Ladies’ Night Out fundraising event attracts 500 guests.
